I sat down to watch Shrek the Halls with my son tonight at 7pm. I'm not sure what I was thinking it would be about or what it's premise was. But when they started making references to sitting down with the family and talking about "The Christmas Story" I was apprehensive about what they were going to do. Would they do the right thing and tell the true story of Christmas? Or would they take the political way out?
Knowing that the maker was Disney, of course it was later. I suppose Charlie Brown's Christmas story is "antiquated". Well I promptly decided that my son didn't need to watch the show and I'll continue to teach him the real reason we have Christmas. I suppose my Christmas wish will be that Corporate America will too.
